Australian Eagle T Shirts

Its been a while since there has been a blog post, but not to fear, its only because we have been busy bees, designing and styling new t shirts and wall hangings for you.

Our Australian Eagle T Shirt Range is quite impressive, and we are always excited to do a new design for you guys, since we get such a great response from our Eagle T-Shirts.

The australian eagle is most commonly or scientifically known as the wedge-tailed eagle. And is a beautiful creature of grace and beauty. It is also one of the biggest eagles across all 7 continents. They are large animales up to two pounds in weight (or four kilos), with an average wing span of up to 2-3 metres. Their appearance is often seen as quite a dark brown, with a mixture of subtle blues, purples and greens, shining off their outer feathers.

Their diet consists of bunnies, with their immensely acute vision, they can easily see them from quite high heights. They dive down to attack their prey at immensely fast speeds, and usually just with this force alone, kills the creature instantly. They also feed on dead animal as scavengers and the likes of road kill, which is an unfortunate reality of the fast cars in outback australia crossing the long roaming deserts.

The Australian Eagle being one of the largest eagles in the world, also builds some of the largest nests in the world, out of all preying birds, with nests up to three metres in depth and 2-3 metres in width. They also like to place their nests very high up. Usually in excluded areas on cliffs, well away from the ground.

The eagle breeds throughout april through till september. And lays up to three eggs but very sadly only one of these eggs survives, and its rare to see two or even more rare three baby eagles in one nest being cared for.
